Renzo is a teaching and research assistant at the Faculty of Engineering, Universidad de la República, Uruguay since 2014. He holds a degree in Engineering in Computer Science and an M.Sc. in Computer Science both from Universidad de la República (Uruguay). He is a Ph.D. candidate in Computer Science at Universidad de Cádiz (Spain) and hold Ph.D. grants from the National Agency of Research and Innovation (ANII, Uruguay) and Fundación Carolina (Spain).
His main research interests are computational intelligence, metaheuristics, and high-performance computing applied to solve complex optimization problems. Currently, he is focusing on addressing urban mobility and public transport problems.
