Marvin Matías Agüero Torales is a Researcher at “Graphical Methods, Optimization, and Learning” (GOAL) Group of the University of Cádiz since 2020, and a part-time student of the ICT’s PhD at the University of Granada since 2017 at “Soft Computing and Intelligent Information Systems” (SCI2S). A former member of the Biomedical Text Mining Unit (TeMU) of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) and the Laboratorio de Bases de Datos (LBD) of the Universidade da Coruña. His research interests focus in Text Mining, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and Computer Science, mainly for the efficient exploitation of the information contained in unstructured data, as clinical documents or social media, with a particular interest in processing documents written in Spanish or low-resource languages.
He holds a degree in Computer Engineering, and Computer Science, both from Universidad Autonóma de Asunción (UAA) and a MEng. in Computer Engineering from the University of Granada. He has been working as a Web Engineer in many companies of Paraguay (e.g., banks or multinational chains), he also has expertise in IT Architecture and System Analysis.
