Advanced multimodal systems for upper limb robotic prosthetics
Advances in robotics and small-sized actuators are allowing the development of robotized prosthetic hands with great dexterity, but it is also becoming more complicated to handle by the user. This project is oriented to make progress in advanced robotic prosthesis developing multimodal systems which can provide the user with tactile feedback through vibrotactile actuators and electrostimulation devices, as well as detecting the user’s intention, through EEG and EMG signals, to perform different types of grip.
